While most Rhode Island nature photographers choose to focus on the southern part of the state and the coastline, I've come to love the northern portion of the state - the woods.
These are the places that I go and the things that I routinely see there. For the truly observant, you may even notice that many of these place are either protected by the Audubon Society of RI or the Town of Smithfield...

If you're at all familiar with Rhode Island, you probably realize that there are a number of spots that didn't make my list. It's not because I don't consider those places to be worthy of a walk,
it's because I haven't visited those spots yet. While visiting a new location can be exciting, with new things to experience and photograph, it can also be a somewhat daunting experience if you're forced
to do it alone. Luckily, I have my business partner Dave or my girlfriend Coreen to accompany me on walks, but usually not. So let's just say that I'll be trying to visit more of the popular locations around
the state in the coming months and years to come. M'kay?
